Ethiopia

Our crew is back from Ethiopia (except my mom & Carrie, who stayed behind for another week to do more work).  We had such an amazing time, and I enjoyed every minute serving with our friends there!

We went to Ethiopia to work on the James Initiative's sustainability project, The Bethel Guest Home.  It's a gorgeous, brand new, three-story guest home in a nice area of Addis Ababa, that will be perfect for serving individual families or large groups traveling to Addis.  In addition to the main guest home, there is a 12 bedroom/6 bath addition on the back side of the home that will be finished in the future. 

The Bethel Guest Home is truly a gem.  This is hands-down the nicest guest home any of us have seen around Addis.  Panoramic views, private large bathrooms for each guest room, handmade furniture, local art and decor, free wi-fi, free breakfast, lunch and dinner also available, laundry service available, 24 hour guardsmen, personal drivers/translators -- just a few of the many details.

The Bethel Guest Home is a blessing & will be used to bless many others.  Not only will it be an amazing place to stay, but the money spent will in turn help sustain the James Initiative's work in Ethiopia.  Another post will come soon with pictures and more details on how you can book your stay in Addis Ababa at the Bethel Guest Home.

While in Addis, we were also able to do a handful of neat outings, like going to the leprosy hospital and the Gladney care centers.  I'll post lots of pictures soon once I get back into the swing of things around here.  My body still feels like it's on Ethiopia time.  :)
